Summary
Buffalo girls: A story about the aging Calamity Jane, content to remember the excitement of her past and relating it in letters to her daughter, until old friend Buffalo Bill Cody comes to town and makes her an offer she can't refuse. True women: A powerful, moving story about two fearless women, of friendship, romance, courage and survival in the Old West. When Mexican forces threaten their homeland, Sarah Ashby McClure and her younger sister Euphemia, move their family and friends to safety. Resettling on the rugged West Texas plains, they soon become targets of Indian raids. They are determined to defend their homeland while their men fight in the Civil War
